Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law allowing the deployment of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to other countries (№ 4255-IX).

This information was disclosed by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

In wartime, formations, military units, and subdivisions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may be sent abroad to ensure national security, repel and deter armed aggression, protect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and exercise the right to self-defense according to Article 51 of the UN Charter.

The law was refined taking into account the remarks of the President of Ukraine, which clarify the procedure for making decisions about sending units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine abroad, describe in detail the order of their stay outside the country, and ensure the act’s compliance with international law norms.
