Zelenskyy reacted to the Russian attack on Ukraine: a "new pressure on Moscow" is needed
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, expressed his reaction to the massive Russian attack on Ukraine on the night of March 23, when the enemy deployed nearly 150 strike drones. He stated that pressure on Moscow needs to be increased to stop such attacks and this war.
The head of state reported this on his Telegram channel. He emphasized that the sanctions against Russian occupiers need to be more effective.
Zelenskyy reminded that dozens of people were injured as a result of the night attack, including a child. In Kyiv, three people died, among them a father and his five-year-old daughter. On Saturday, March 22, three people died in Zaporizhzhya—a father, a mother, and their 17-year-old daughter.
According to him, Russia carries out such attacks on Ukraine daily. Just this week, more than 1580 guided aerial bombs, nearly 1100 strike drones, and 15 missiles of various types were deployed against Ukrainians.
"In all of this weaponry, there are at least 102,000 foreign components. Therefore, sanctions against Russian terrorists should work more effectively. Every scheme that allows them to bypass the sanctions regime must be eliminated," he emphasized. "New solutions, new pressure on Moscow are needed to stop such attacks and this war."
The President noted the importance of strengthening the Defence Forces of Ukraine, particularly by providing more air defense systems and real assistance. He thanked all allies who understand this and continue to support Ukraine.
