Three Ukrainian citizens have been detained in Vienna on suspicion of serial thefts, writes Vienna Online.

According to the Vienna police, on Tuesday, targeted patrols consisting of members of the operational street crime unit (EGS) in plain clothes were working in the city center.

Three women were behaving suspiciously on Kärntner Straße in the center of Vienna. The police began to monitor them. When the three women committed a pickpocketing act and soon attempted another one, EGS officers detained all three of them.

The suspects are Ukrainian citizens aged between 34 and 44 years old.
