In Ukraine, a new format for vehicle license plates has been introduced

In Ukraine, drivers who re-register their vehicles through the "Diya" mobile application are issued new numbers.

Cars with registration plates of the "DI" series have appeared in Ukraine.

This is stated in a report by uamotors.

New plates are issued to car owners who re-register them using the "Diya" mobile application.

Obtaining new plates is not mandatory. You can choose to keep the old numbers if you wish.

The cost of re-registration through "Diya" is 1105 UAH, plus delivery charges, bringing the total to approximately 1500 UAH.

In addition to the "DI" series, new registration plates are also being introduced in Ukraine, including:

• ED,
• DC,

The "ED" and "DC" series are intended for cars registered through the electronic driver’s cabinet of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, while "PD" is an analogue of "DI" and is issued upon vehicle registration through "Diya" — either in the application or on the portal.
