The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defence Council refuted the information that in 2023, the special forces of the Security Service of Ukraine stormed the Ukrainian General Staff to detain Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, as claimed by former deputy Bereza and former Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces Kryvonos.

«Of course, the SSU did not storm the General Staff in 2023 with the aim of arresting Zaluzhnyi. These are the latest «insider reports» in the spirit of rumors about the «death» of Zaluzhnyi, Budanov, and Syrskyi, which were spread earlier», - noted the head of the CCD, Kovalenko.

"The main problem with such disinformation is that refutations have to come from state officials or bodies, which can contribute to the partial spread of such rumors," he added.
