Explosion in the center of Kyiv: a man who set a car on fire was detained by concerned passersby

An explosion occurred near the "Olimpiiska" metro station in Kyiv. It turned out that the car was set on fire by a man. A few minutes later, concerned citizens of Kyiv detained him.

This was reported by the Kyiv police.

The man set fire to one of the parked electric cars. As a result of a short circuit in the electric batteries inside the car, an explosion occurred.

Citizens who were at the scene detained the man, who is believed to be involved in the arson. He is currently giving testimony to the police.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, but the car is beyond repair.
