Zelenskyy announced powerful sanctions against the "shadow fleet" and Russian propagandists
Ukraine will create a powerful package of sanctions against the Russian "shadow fleet" and propagandists. The need for restrictions was justified by special services.
This became known from the evening address of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"I have also instructed to prepare our Ukrainian sanction packages. There is a corresponding justification from the special services, these are powerful packages," the president said.
According to him, the sanctions will target:
- Russia’s "shadow fleet," which Moscow uses to support the war;
- war propagandists who try to undermine Ukraine’s defense and assist Russia;
- certain officials whose names are known "to all Ukrainians."
Zelenskyy clarified that decrees regarding sanctions are being prepared.
He also added that Ukraine is working on coordinating sanction packages with the decisions of partners in the European Union and other "powerful jurisdictions of the world."
