In the academy of border guards in the Khmelnytskyi region, the body of a cadet was found

A 20-year-old cadet from the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine was found dead in Khmelnytskyi.

Around 10:00, a 20-year-old cadet was found dead with signs of a gunshot wound on the premises of the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

According to official information, the cadet was on daily duty. As soon as his body was discovered, medical personnel and law enforcement were called to the scene.

The deceased serviceman was a native of the Chernihiv region. According to the State Border Guard Service, he had completed secondary education, signed a service contract two years ago, and in 2023, enrolled in the border guard training institution. The press service also noted that the cadet had a positive character reference, studied well, and was sociable.

Currently, all circumstances of the tragedy are being clarified. A pre-trial investigation is being conducted, as well as an internal investigation at the academy. The State Border Guard Service has promised to provide more information after the inspections are completed.
