Over 900 bodies of fallen soldiers were returned to Ukraine
Thanks to the repatriation efforts, the bodies of 909 fallen Defenders have been returned to Ukraine.
This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters on the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
 Among the Defenders returned "on the shield" are those who fell from the:
- Kurakhove direction;
- Pokrovsk direction;
- Bakhmut direction;
- Vuhledar direction;
- Luhansk direction;
- Zaporizhzhya direction;
- Sumy direction;
- Kharkiv direction;
- as well as from morgues in the territory of the Russian Federation.
"The return of the fallen Defenders was achieved thanks to the joint efforts of the staff of the Coordination Headquarters on the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Joint Center at the SSU, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Missing Persons under special circumstances, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and other structures of the Security and Defence Sector of Ukraine.
We express our gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for their assistance.
Special thanks to the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who carry out the transportation of the repatriated fallen Heroes to designated state specialized institutions, organize the transfer of the deceased to law enforcement representatives in the MIA system and to the forensic examination system in the MoH. The identities of the deceased will be established in the shortest possible time by law enforcement investigators in conjunction with expert institutions of the MIA," - stated the Coordination Headquarters on the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
