An employee of the Constitutional Court organized a scheme to evade mobilization

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine and Kyiv Police uncovered a staff member of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine and concurrently a lawyer, who was arranging exemption from military conscription for men in exchange for a fee. The cost of the "services" was 15,000 US dollars per person.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv Police and the Security Service of Ukraine. The suspect faces up to eight years in prison with confiscation of property.

"The pre-trial investigation established that the 31-year-old suspect offered his conscription-age clients a "bonus" in the form of fictitious employment at a critical infrastructure enterprise, followed by exemption during mobilization, thus avoiding military service," law enforcement officers reported.

It is noted that from two men who agreed to such a "business offer," the perpetrator demanded a payment of 15,000 dollars. Part of this amount was allegedly paid to the head of a critically important enterprise and an official of one of the district TRC in Kyiv, with the aim of unobstructedly updating military registration data.

The staff member of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine and concurrently a lawyer was detained while receiving the reward. A criminal case has been opened regarding this fact, and the detainee has been informed of the suspicion.
