In each region of Ukraine, Centers for Preparation for National Resistance will be opened, – OP

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution that approves the procedure for the creation and operation of Centers for the Preparation of Citizens for National Resistance.

This was reported by the Office of the President.

It is stated that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy assigned this task during a meeting with representatives of civil society.

"The document was prepared under the coordination of Deputy Head of the Office of the Head of State Iryna Vereshchuk. Representatives of the Ministry of Defence, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Territorial Defence Forces, regional military administrations, as well as public and volunteer organizations participated in the working sessions," the report says.

The heads of the centers will be appointed by regional councils upon the proposal of the regional military administrations (RMA). In addition, the RMAs are responsible for the control, monitoring, and evaluation of their activities with quarterly reporting to the Ministry of Defence.

The Territorial Defence Forces will approve a standard training program, and veterans will be appointed as heads of centers and instructors. Instructors in national resistance will undergo training and certification in military higher education institutions.

"The preparation of civilian citizens to counter the enemy is an integral part of our defence capability and a factor in deterring the enemy. It is also one of the drivers of society’s resilience and cohesion," Vereshchuk noted.
