The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed one of the occupiers’ most advanced tanks with drones

On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed one of the most modern Russian tanks – the T-80BVM. It was discovered in a shelter set up by the invaders in a damaged industrial building.

A Ukrainian pilot not only penetrated inside the hangar but also found a valuable armored vehicle hidden there – and struck it. Details and video were released by the operational-strategic forces group "Khortytsia".

The published footage records the destruction of one of the latest Russian tanks – the T-80BVM, by a drone.

"In the Lyman direction, the operators of the UAV unit Signum conducted a truly jewelry-like operation! Aerial reconnaissance tracked the enemy tank hidden in an industrial building. The pilot acted flawlessly. The drone of our defenders skillfully navigated through concrete structures and ceilings, as if sliding between obstacles. Having identified the target, the drone struck the very ’heart’ of the tank. As a result, the T-80BVM tank, one of the most modern machines in the Russian arsenal, was destroyed," the statement noted.

The video shows a Ukrainian drone approaching the industrial building. Briefly hovering before the opening in the wall, the UAV penetrates inside. Already in the hangar, the pilot controlling the drone slowly looks around and notices a dark niche with an entrance covered by camouflage netting. Flying above this netting into the niche, the pilot discovered the Russian tank there. He then proceeded to destroy the equipment.

"The Signum unit causes panic in enemy lines. The UAV pilots have become a true nightmare for the enemy, a key reason for losses not only in equipment but also in manpower. They see everything. And strike where the enemy feels safe," emphasized the OSG "Khortytsia".
