At the negotiations in Paris on April 17, Trump’s special envoy outlined key points:

• Permanent ceasefire and negotiations.
• Ukraine does not join NATO but may join the EU.
• Security is ensured by European peacekeepers.
• The US recognizes Crimea as Russian, and partially other occupied territories as well.
• Ukraine regains part of the Kharkiv region, the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Station, and the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant.
• The Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant is controlled by the US, electricity is shared by both parties.
• Restoration of shipping on the Dnipro River and control over the Kinburn Spit.
• Economic cooperation between the US and Ukraine, development of natural resources.
• Ukraine will receive compensation.
• Sanctions on Russia are lifted, and the US cooperates with it in the energy sector.
