Zelenskyy: Russia is not preparing for a ceasefire, has resumed assault activity after Easter

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his evening address.

“We hold our positions strongly to ensure all possibilities for proper diplomacy. The Russians talk a lot about their alleged readiness to accept American proposals, but currently no preparations by the Russian army for a real ceasefire are observed,” Zelenskyy noted.

According to the President, on the contrary, after Easter, the occupiers resumed their usual assault activity – the Russians are trying to advance at the cost of significant losses.

“Every day of such battles on the front proves absolutely clearly that Russia is really trying to deceive the world – to deceive America and others – and continue to drag out this war. And therefore, pressure is needed. Pressure is necessary for the Russians to take all the necessary steps to stop the war. Yesterday’s meetings in the Vatican and Rome confirmed that our partners understand what is happening,” the head of state emphasized.
