Hetmantsev: The military levy will not be canceled after the war, but it will be reduced to 1.5%
The military tax in Ukraine will not be canceled after the end of the war, but its rate will decrease.
This was stated by the head of the Tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Danylo Hetmantsev.
According to him, under current legislation, after the cessation of martial law, the military tax rate will automatically decrease from the current 5% to 1.5%.
"The law clearly states: after the end of martial law, the rate returns to the level of 1.5%. We are not changing this," emphasized Hetmantsev.
Meanwhile, the MP promised that other taxes are not planned to be increased - at least within this session of the Verkhovna Rada.
It is worth remembering that during the full-scale invasion, the military tax rate was increased to support the army and defence sector. These funds are directed directly to the financing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
