Syrskyi on Mother’s Day: "The tears of Ukrainian mothers will become revenge against the occupiers"

The Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, congratulated Ukrainian women on Mother’s Day. He emphasized that in times of war, Ukrainian mothers remain a reliable support, provide strength and love, and stand against the enemy themselves within the ranks of the Defence Forces.

Syrskyi also expressed condolences to the mothers who lost their sons in the war. According to him, their tears will become a punishment for the occupiers from the Ukrainian defenders. The congratulation from the commander was published by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 11, Sunday.

"Today is Mother’s Day. When the country is shaken by war, mothers remain our support and give love. Dear mothers! You have given birth to and raised Ukrainian defenders. And you stand against the enemy yourselves. You are our faith, you are our strength, you are a prayer for each of us," the congratulation reads.

Syrskyi also expressed gratitude to the mothers who serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, their hearts embody both the tenderness of a mother and the courage of a warrior.

"You defend the country and at the same time remain those who fill our world with love. I am sincerely grateful for your service, strength, and dedication to duty," the commander stated.

In addition, he expressed condolences to the mothers whose children died in the war.

"On this day, I want to express condolences to every mother who lost a child in the war for Ukraine’s freedom. Your pain is a pain that lives in each of us. Your tears will become a punishment for the Russian invaders," Syrskyi assured.

The commander also wished all the mothers of Ukraine strength, health, and love and respect from their children.

"May they give you joy and pride! Glory to Ukrainian mothers! Glory to Ukraine!" the congratulation reads.
