U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the upcoming meeting between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul is of great significance and may bring positive results.

«The meeting between Russia and Ukraine — is very important. I insisted that it take place. I think good things can come from this meeting», — said Trump.

Earlier, he urged both countries to agree to talks immediately.
