The Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down 36 Russian drones during a massive attack on Ukraine

This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram. 

Starting at 23:50 on Friday, May 16, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 62 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of decoy drones from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Shatalovo, as well as Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea).

The air assault was repelled using aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

As of 12:00, the downing of 36 Shahed-type strike UAVs (and other types of drones) has been confirmed in the east, north, south, west, and center of Ukraine.

Six enemy decoy drones were electronically lost (without negative consequences).

The consequences of the attack were recorded in the regions of Sumy, Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk.
