In the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, it was stated that the Sumy region is a priority direction for the occupiers

Russian occupation forces continue to attempt to infiltrate the Sumy region with small infantry groups of up to ten people, noted Ivan Shevtsov, head of the press service of the 15th Mobile Border Detachment "Steel Border," during a telethon broadcast. According to him, for the aggressor country, this direction is one of the priorities.

He emphasized that Russian troops will attempt to capture a certain area in the Sumy region before the next negotiations.

"The tactics of the occupiers have changed significantly. If last year they actively used heavy equipment, in current operations in the Sumy direction they do not use it, preferring to move in small infantry groups on quad bikes, motorcycles, and buggies," he emphasized.

Shevtsov added that the occupiers have intensified strikes on the Sumy region, especially using drones.
