Today, May 23, Russian troops shelled the city of Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region with artillery, resulting in the death of one person.

This was reported by the head of the Kostyantynivka City Military Administration, Serhiy Horbunov.

"Today, around 15:00, there was another shelling of the city of Kostyantynivka from the territory temporarily under occupation. According to preliminary information, Russian troops used barrel artillery," the statement read.

It is known that as a result of the shelling, a civilian who sustained injuries incompatible with life was killed.

In addition, two private houses were damaged - the facades were hit.

"This shelling is another proof of the war crimes systematically committed by the occupying forces against the peaceful population of Donetsk region. We urge community residents to evacuate to safer regions," the head of the regional state administration added.
