Zelenskyy: Russia is prolonging the war and deceiving partners to disrupt negotiations

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the Russian Federation is doing everything possible to prolong the war and disrupt the negotiations.

He stated this during his evening address.

"Russia is prolonging the war and doing everything just to mislead countries that are still trying to influence Moscow with words rather than pressure. Words do not work with Moscow. Even the so-called ’memorandum,’ which they promised and supposedly prepared for over a week, no one has seen yet," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, Russia has not handed over its ’memorandum’ not only to Ukraine but also to Turkey - the country that hosted the first meeting. The President noted that the Russians promised completely the opposite, including to the United States of America and Donald Trump.

"Another Russian deceit. They do everything to make the meetings fruitless. And this is yet another reason to impose sufficient sanctions - to exert enough pressure on Russia. Today, there was a report from Commander Syrsky regarding the front and our long-range activity on Russian territory. Thank you to our guys for their precision. And it is absolutely fair - it is in Russia that they should feel what war is like so that there is a desire to engage in diplomacy," Zelenskyy emphasized.
