Supreme Court judge uses elite apartment of niece from the Russian Federation for free
Nadiya Stefaniv, a judge of the Cassation Criminal Court of the Supreme Court, has been living for free since 2020 in a 205 m² apartment in the capital, which belongs to her niece — a Russian citizen named Valentina Khoroshavtseva. In the declaration, the value of the property is estimated at 1.8 million UAH, while the market price at the time of purchase exceeded 5 million UAH.
The judge’s daughter, Nadiya Mykytin — also a judge who is currently applying for a position in the appellate court — lives for free in another apartment owned by Khoroshavtseva in Ivano-Frankivsk. According to Valentina Khoroshavtseva, she herself lives and works in Tomsk, did not have the funds to purchase Kyiv real estate, and only bought modest housing in Russia through a mortgage.
Valentina Khoroshavtseva works at the "Siberian Chemical Combine," which supplies materials for the Russian nuclear arsenal and armaments.
