Former head of the Central Management for Fuel and Lubricants Supply of the Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Zayarnyi, has been notified of suspicion of illegal enrichment amounting to over 12.4 million hryvnias.

As reported by the State Bureau of Investigation in collaboration with the National Agency on Corruption Prevention and the Office of the Prosecutor General, in 2023–2024 the suspect acquired at least 14 land plots in the Kyiv region, an apartment, three cars — a Toyota Tundra, Škoda Octavia, and Hyundai Tucson, as well as government bonds. Part of the assets was registered to relatives.

The value of the acquired property significantly exceeds the declared income of the serviceman and his close associates. Additionally, the investigation established the fact of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

Zayarnyi is accused of illegal enrichment (Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and illegal handling of weapons (Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces up to 10 years of imprisonment. Currently, the issue of a preventive measure is being considered.
