Volunteer from Lutsk in critical condition after mobilization: family reports beating
A scandal has erupted in Lutsk regarding the mobilization of volunteer Maksym Muzychka, who, according to his mother, Larysa Muzychka, is in an extremely serious condition after allegedly being beaten by TRC representatives.
Larysa Muzychka reported that her son Maksym was detained on June 10 in Lutsk right on the street. According to her, the detention took place without police involvement or document verification. TRC representatives allegedly used tear gas and took the man to the regional military commissariat.
The next day, on June 11, without passing the military medical commission (MMC), Maksym was taken to a training ground in the Lviv region. By June 12, contact with him was lost. Thanks to geolocation, relatives discovered that he was being taken to the Lviv St. Panteleimon hospital, where he immediately ended up on the operating table.
Doctors diagnosed the man with an open craniocerebral injury, subdural and epidural hematomas, as well as multiple hemorrhages. He underwent two surgeries. Maksym Muzychka’s condition is assessed as extremely serious.
Larysa Muzychka also reported that a criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. As of now, there have been no official comments from TRC representatives or law enforcement agencies regarding this situation.
