The occupiers are urgently preparing the port of Mariupol for receiving military cargo

Russia is swiftly preparing the Mariupol port to receive military cargo. This was reported by the head of the Center for Occupation Studies, Petro Andryushchenko, on his Telegram channel.

He noted that throughout June, the movement of vessels in the port was practically nonexistent, but in recent days, the Russians have actively begun work on creating a new berth and railway branches.

«According to our sources, this is directly connected to recent strikes on the railway and changes in logistical risks», — stated Andryushchenko.

Since it is impossible to use the Melitopol–Tokmak and Tokmak–Berdyansk routes, the occupiers plan to make the Mariupol (port) — Volnovakha — Rozivka — Tokmak route the main direction. Therefore, intensive preparatory work is being conducted in the port and on the railway, including the creation of infrastructure for fast refueling directly into railway tanks.

«Such activity in the port has not been observed for more than a year and a half», — emphasized Andryushchenko.
