"Those who find it insufficient — leave": Salaries have increased at the SGS, but sergeants are outraged by the inequality of raises
The salaries of the employees of the State Guard Service, responsible for protecting the country’s leaders, have been increased since June.
According to sources within the SGS, the salary of sergeants has been increased by 4,000 hryvnias (now, depending on bonuses and other allowances, they take home from 32,000 to 45,000 hryvnias), officers received an additional 6,000, and senior staff received from 15,000 to 40,000.
Sources indicate that such disparity in the raises has already caused discontent among the personnel, especially the sergeants, who expected raises of 10,000 or more.
"The SGS leadership responded to this discontent in the usual manner — in an internal chat, they were reminded about the average salary in the Kyiv labor market and were invited to consider this figure. They were told that those dissatisfied could resign and look for another job. Such a statement caused even more indignation," the source reports.
At the same time, according to the source, the SGS leadership has many ways to "manually" regulate the employees’ salary levels — through fines and bonuses. The latter, the source claims, are particularly large for those involved in the protection of the president himself.
