The fraudsters expanded their operations on a grand scale: they hired dozens of employees, set up workplaces, and purchased hundreds of SIM cards from local operators in Poland to deceive EU citizens and Ukrainian refugees.

This was reported by Informator.

In Kyiv, law enforcement officers uncovered yet another fraudulent call center. So far, its employees can only be charged with selling fake Polish driver’s licenses, for which the fraudsters demanded 1,500-2,500 euros. What other "useful activities" the employees were involved in is unknown, but photos from the large office show that dozens of people worked in the illegal establishment, along with stacks of Polish SIM cards used to deceive EU citizens and Ukrainian refugees.

The discovery of the fraudulent call center was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office. According to them, six of the employees were notified of suspicion regarding the sale of fake driver’s licenses purportedly issued in Poland for 1,500-2,500 euros. In their "work," they used specially designed websites (likely in the darknet) where they directly offered the purchase of licenses to clients.

"Among the suspects are the organizer and two managers of the call center, which processed client applications, the person who communicated with those wishing to purchase documents, and the developers of the websites where services for the creation of Polish licenses were advertised," clarified the Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office.

Law enforcement officers documented an attempt to sell such a license to one of the "clients" for 67,000 UAH. All the individuals involved have been charged under Part 4 of Article 190 and Part 3 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("fraud" and "forgery of documents"). The sanctions of these articles provide for imprisonment for up to 8 years.

It should be noted that the business – the fraudulent call center itself – was set up "on a grand scale." In photos taken at the moment law enforcement officers visited the "establishment," it is visible that dozens of young people were working inside the huge bright office during the evening. Their workplaces were equipped with technology for carrying out fraudulent activities, and organizers were also found with stacks of Polish SIM cards, likely used to deceive EU citizens.
