In Kyiv, in the Troieshchyna district, a repeat offender robbed a child on the street
Kyiv law enforcement officers detained a previously convicted man who, according to the investigation, is suspected of robbery in the Desnianskyi district. The perpetrator, threatening a 13-year-old boy with violence on the street, forced him to give up money.
This was reported by the press service of the capital’s police. The suspect faces up to 10 years in prison.
According to law enforcement officers, they received a report from a resident of the Desnianskyi district about the robbery of his 13-year-old son. The man explained that after training, the boy was having lunch on the outdoor terrace of a fast-food restaurant on Chervona Kalyna Avenue.
"At that moment, a stranger approached him and, threatening physical harm, demanded that he give up valuable items. After the schoolboy handed over the small foreign currency, the perpetrator fled," the press service specified.

Police officers retraced the perpetrator’s route and quickly detained him. He turned out to be a 29-year-old resident of the Kyiv region, who had previously been repeatedly brought to criminal responsibility for property crimes: thefts, robberies, and assaults.

A criminal case has been opened regarding the robbery committed under martial law conditions, and the detainee has been informed of the suspicion. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to bail.
