A former bodyguard of Poroshenko was sentenced to a huge fine for delivering "money from Moscow"
A few details for you about this unique case.
The criminal process will last for years. So the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) simply shared the information with customs - and that’s it! It hasn’t even been three months, and there’s already a ruling.
The judge of the Solomyanskyi District Court of Kyiv, Vereshchynska, fined Vadym Chuchkovskyi for customs violations. He is a former deputy head of the State Guard Department of the ex-president of Ukraine.
The fine amounts to 588 million UAH with confiscation in favor of the state of the violation item, namely funds totaling 38.6 million euros.
According to the SBI, this money was allegedly brought from Moscow to Kyiv in March 2019, on the eve of the first round of the presidential elections in Ukraine. Chuchkovskyi and two other drivers of the State Guard Department allegedly took the suitcases out of the airport without passing customs control.
