Zelenskyy: Russians have been offered a meeting next week

In the evening address on July 19, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that discussions with the Russian side regarding exchanges are ongoing – the parties continue to fulfill the agreements from the previous meeting in Istanbul. Currently, the team is working on another exchange.

"Also, NSDC Secretary Umyerov reported that he proposed the next meeting with the Russian side next week. The negotiation dynamics need to be increased. Everything must be done to achieve a ceasefire. And the Russian side needs to stop hiding from decisions. Exchange of prisoners. Return of children. Cessation of killings. And a meeting at the leadership level is needed to truly ensure peace – a truly lasting one. Ukraine is ready for such a meeting," said the President.
