By autumn, the situation at the front may become significantly more complicated, - Romanenko
This was reported by former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko, commenting on information about a new summer offensive by Russia.
He emphasized that "the first phase, spring-summer, is coming to an end, during which the enemy used resources accumulated by the end of last year and during the winter, as well as up to the present moment."
"This is one part of the story. The actions and advancements that we have been observing for the past six months are being carried out," Romanenko said on Radio NV.
He reminded that earlier data from foreign intelligence indicated that "somewhere over there, the Russians are preparing 13 divisions, and now this amounts to 160,000 people."
Additionally, according to him, the Russians are not actively using armored vehicles yet, so it cannot be ruled out that they are accumulating them.
"And therefore, taking into account the accumulation of such resources, by the end of July and onwards, during the summer-autumn campaign period of 2025, a new difficult stage may begin if this is confirmed regarding resources. Thus, future times could be challenging. They require strategically complex decisions in the field of mobilization, military economy, and legislation. The situation could become quite threatening in connection with this," Romanenko added.
