Prosecutor Mekhalchuk under investigation drives a luxury car owned by his sister without income

Acting head of the Voznesenivsky district prosecutor’s office in Zaporizhzhya, Vladyslav Mekhalchuk, who was charged with bringing a knowingly innocent person to criminal responsibility, uses a Volkswagen Touareg that belongs to his sister.

Mekhalchuk did not declare any family members. Vladyslav Mekhalchuk owns an apartment in Zaporizhzhya with an area of 46.1 m², the rights to which were acquired on October 9, 2015. The cost of the apartment at the time the rights were acquired or at the last monetary valuation is not indicated.

Mekhalchuk declares the right to use a Volkswagen Touareg (2021), which belongs to his sister Viktoriya Mekhalchuk. This right was acquired on April 6, 2024.

The main source of income for Vladyslav Mekhalchuk in 2024 was his salary from the Zaporizhzhya Regional Prosecutor’s Office, amounting to 1.01 million hryvnias. Additionally, he received a pension from the Shevchenkivskyi Unified Pension Fund Management in the amount of 86.77 thousand hryvnias.

Mekhalchuk did not declare any monetary assets, such as cash or funds in bank accounts. However, he did indicate three accounts at JSC CB "PrivatBank" opened in his name.
