Drones of the DIU attacked the only helium production plant for rockets in Russia

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine used drones to carry out an attack on a helium production plant for rockets. The Orenburg Helium Plant was damaged.

This is the only enterprise in Russia that produces a critically important component for rockets, the space industry, and the aviation industry. This was reported by OBOZ.UA sources in the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

On August 11, drones of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine struck the Orenburg Helium Plant. This is the only enterprise in Russia that produces a critically important component for the production of rockets, for the space industry, and the aviation industry.

Local residents had been observing drone flights since the evening. Russians also reported explosions in the area of the plant.

Against this backdrop, around 20:00 local time, local authorities decided to close a section of the federal highway M-5 "Ural" in the area of Perevolotsk and Kholodni Klyuchi (the target of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine is located there).

The Orenburg Helium Plant is the only helium production enterprise in Russia and one of the largest in Europe, with an annual capacity of processing about 15 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

Helium is widely used in rocket production, the space industry, and the aviation industry. The target attacked by military intelligence is directly involved in Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and is one of the key objects of the Russian military-industrial complex.
