President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the conversation with US President Donald Trump «the best ever». The parties discussed security guarantees and the humanitarian direction.

«We had a very good conversation, the best. Sorry, the best is yet to come, but this was a very good conversation. We discussed very sensitive topics, the first being security guarantees. We are very glad that all the leaders are here… We will talk more about security guarantees, it is very important that the US is sending such a strong signal», — said the Ukrainian president, as reported by NV.

The head of state emphasized the importance of the humanitarian direction, particularly the exchange of all prisoners. He also thanked the wife of the US President, Melania Trump, for a letter dedicated to the issue of abducted Ukrainian children, and expressed hope that a solution for their return could be found. Separately, Zelenskyy stressed the need to release all civilian hostages.

At the same time, the Ukrainian leader noted that issues related to territories and other sensitive topics are planned to be discussed at a trilateral meeting involving Ukraine, the US, and Russia. According to him, Trump is trying to organize such negotiations, and Ukraine will be grateful for the opportunity to join them.
