The situation at the front: The Russians are attacking the most in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions

During August 26, the Defence Forces of Ukraine engaged in 173 combat clashes with Russian occupiers.

This was mentioned in the report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Attacks on Ukraine

Yesterday, the enemy launched 2 missile strikes and 64 airstrikes, used two missiles, and dropped 109 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, they conducted 4,625 shelling attacks, including 21 from multiple launch rocket systems, and deployed 3,891 kamikaze drones for the attack.

The aggressor carried out airstrikes on areas including the settlements of Stara Huta in Sumy region; Bilohirya, Preobrazhenka in Zaporizhzhya region; and Antonivka in Kherson region.

Enemy Losses

Over the past day, the aviation, rocket forces, and artillery of the Defence Forces hit six areas of concentration of enemy manpower, weapons, and military equipment, three artillery systems, and one other important enemy object.

Combat Operations

On the Northern-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, Ukrainian units repelled 15 enemy attacks over the past day. The enemy also carried out 3 airstrikes, dropping five guided aerial bombs, and conducted 201 shellings, including one from multiple launch rocket systems.

On the Southern-Slobozhansk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian defenders’ positions four times near Hlyboke, Vovchansk, Krasne Pershe, and towards Doroshivka.
All attempts ended with a repulse.

On the Kupyansk direction, there were eight combat engagements yesterday. Our defenders stopped enemy assault actions towards the settlements of Kupyansk and Nova Kruhliakivka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 34 times, attempting to breach our defences near the settlements of Novomykhailivka, Karpivka, Kolodiaz, Myrne, Torske, and in the direction of the settlements of Olhivka, Shandryholove, Stavky, Dronivka, and Serebryanka.

In the Siversk direction, Defence Forces stopped nine offensive attempts by the enemy in the area of Hryhorivka and towards Serebryanka, Vyiimka, Fedorivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, six combat clashes were recorded yesterday, with the occupier trying to advance towards Stupochky.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Oleksandro-Kalynove, and towards the settlements of Berestok, Stepanivka, Poltavka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 44 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Nykanorivka, Novoeconomichne, Myrolubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoukrainka, and towards Velykomikhaylivka, Rubizhne, Bilitske, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Filia.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the enemy carried out 23 attacks near the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Shevchenko, Voskresenka, Komyshuvakha, Novohorivka, and towards Filyia, Iskra, and Oleksandrohraad.

In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions over the past day.

In the Prydniprovsk direction, the aggressor’s forces made three futile attempts to advance on the positions of our units.

In the Volyn and Polissya directions, no signs of the formation of offensive groups of the aggressor have been detected.
