On the occupied Kherson region, Candidate of Sciences Valentyna Tykhosha tragically passed away

In Oleshky, on the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson region, Valentyna Tykhosha, a candidate of pedagogical sciences and associate professor of the Ukrainian Language Department at Kherson State University, has passed away.

This was reported on Facebook by the rector of Kherson State University, Oleksandr Spivakovskyi.

According to him, Valentyna Tykhosha was retired. She had lived under occupation for over three years, but always kept Ukraine in her heart, Spivakovskyi added.

"Finally, there was an opportunity to leave for her relatives, everything was already organized… However, it was not meant to be," he wrote.

The deceased educated many generations of teachers and lecturers. Valentyna Tykhosha held the title of "Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine" and was the author and co-author of numerous monographs, textbooks, and teaching aids used in the educational process, as stated in the post.
