In Kostyantynivka, an FSB "mole" who was passing coordinates of Ukrainian military positions has been exposed

In the Donetsk region, SSU officers detained another FSB agent. He was collecting coordinates of Ukrainian military personnel near Kostyantynivka to prepare offensive actions for the occupiers.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the man’s main task was to identify the positions of Defence Forces units that are holding back attacks by the Russian army and delivering counterstrikes.

The obtained geolocations were planned to be used by the enemy for strikes with "Rubikon" drones, followed by breakthroughs by assault groups in the direction of the city.

It was established that the detainee is a 39-year-old process engineer at a local enterprise. He independently sought contacts with Russian special services through Telegram channels and transmitted information via an anonymous chat.

"Following the instructions of the occupiers, the suspect scouted the frontline territory, tracked the locations of Ukrainian defenders, and marked their positions on Google Maps," the SBU reported.

According to the agency, among the potential "targets" of the enemy were long-range artillery batteries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and reserve command posts of forward units of the National Guard. For the sake of secrecy, the agent used three different smartphones.

The SSU’s military counterintelligence detained the Russian "mole" and took measures to secure the positions of the Defence Forces in the area of enemy reconnaissance activity.

The FSB agent has been charged with treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The man has been taken into custody without the possibility of bail, and he faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
