Night Night attack by Russia: Air defence forces shot down 132 drones, there are hits and casualties
On the night of September 22, Russia once again attacked Ukraine from the air: the enemy used 141 means of aerial assault. Air Defence Forces neutralized 132 targets.
Hits were recorded in several locations. Details were reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
What is known about the Russian attack
The enemy began launching strike drones from 21:00 on September 21.
In total, the Russians attacked with 141 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other drone types from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.
In particular, around 80 "Shaheds" were detected in Ukraine’s airspace.
The aerial assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defence destroyed/suppressed 132 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other drone types in the north, south, east, and center of the country.
Hits by 9 strike UAVs were recorded at 7 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at 8 locations.

Zaporizhzhya attacked by Russians with guided aerial bombs (KABs)
According to the Air Forces, the Russians did not limit themselves to "Shaheds" and other types of drones this time.
Early Monday morning, they also carried out airstrikes on Zaporizhzhya: the occupiers targeted the regional center with guided aerial bombs.
"From 4:00 to 6:00 AM on September 22, the enemy conducted airstrikes on the infrastructure of the city of Zaporizhzhia. Launches of GABs from enemy tactical aviation aircraft were recorded from the area of the city of Tokmak in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhya region. Unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population," the Air Forces noted.
As of 8:00 AM, the Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration reported three deaths and two injuries, as well as at least ten GAB strikes.
