In the Odesa region, the head of the TRC was detained for a bribe of 2000 dollars

Law enforcement officers detained the head of one of the district territorial recruitment and social support centers in Odesa region for extortion and receiving a bribe.

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine on October 14.

According to the investigation, the head of the department of one of the district TSC and SP demanded money in the amount of two thousand dollars from a citizen for assistance in issuing a new military registration document, removing the person from the wanted list in the electronic system as someone who did not update their registration data, and for granting a deferment from conscription during mobilization. At the same time, the official stated that resolving the issue would be impossible without the transfer of funds.

The head of the TRC and SS was detained immediately after receiving the agreed amount.

The police did not disclose the name of the suspect, however, according to sources of “UP“, it refers to Andriy Konop, born on 25.06.1986, a native of Odesa, who holds the position of head of the second department of the Odesa RTRC and SS in Odesa region.

The official was informed of suspicion. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.

“For the committed offense, the suspect faces up to 10 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to 3 years, with confiscation of property,” the police summarized.
