The mother of a Ministry of Justice official registered an apartment in Pechersk and a BMW X3

The mother of the Ministry of Justice employee Yelyzaveta Makohon, Raisa Makohon, registered a 2017 BMW X3 in her name in July 2017. This is evidenced by an extract from the Ministry of Internal Affairs transport register. 

The cost of such cars as of March starts at $40,000 according to the auto.ria.com website.

28-year-old Yelyzaveta Makohon works as the head of one of the departments at the Ministry of Justice and is part of the commission for reviewing complaints in the field of state registration. This commission was headed by Deputy Minister Pavlo Moroz, who previously worked at "Ernst & Young" with lawyer Andriy Dovbenko, who is referred to as the "supervisor" of the Ministry of Justice, journalists report.

According to her 2016 declaration, the official’s salary was 121,000 UAH.

In January 2016, her mother also acquired real estate in the city center. Raisa Makohon bought an apartment with an area of 53.6 square meters on Yevhena Konovaltsia Street (formerly Shchorsa St.), 36e in Pechersk. As of March 2018, the cost of one-room apartments in this building starts at 1,700,000 UAH. In October 2015, Raisa Makohon became the owner of another apartment with an area of 40.9 square meters in the town of Ukrainka, Kyiv region.

Raisa Makohon is not listed as a founder of any company; however, she has a sole proprietorship that acts as an intermediary specializing in the trade of other goods. Her husband, Serhiy Makohon, is registered as the owner of LLC "Production and Commercial Company ’Soznaniye’." As of the end of 2016, according to Youcontrol, the company had profits of 65,000 UAH, by the end of 2015 - up to 10,000 UAH, by the end of 2014 - 90,000 UAH, by the end of 2013 - 15,000 UAH, and by the end of 2012, 2011, and 2010 - up to 10,000 UAH.
