Ukraine has started the destruction of Russia’s energy infrastructure and will see it through to the end, – military official
Ukraine has started the process of destroying the enemy’s energy infrastructure and will see it through to the end.
This was stated in a post on Facebook by Yuriy "Achilles" Fedorenko, commander of the 429th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment.
According to him, strikes on "Russian energy infrastructure, which supports the enemy’s military machine," are being carried out non-stop. He cited data from experts at the International Energy Agency (IEA). According to their conclusions, Ukrainian drone attacks on oil refineries have reduced Russia’s refining capacity by approximately 500,000 barrels per day. Fedorenko added that over two months, the Defence Forces have disabled about 38% of the enemy’s refining potential, leading to a gasoline crisis in the Russian Federation.
"The vulnerability of Russian energy infrastructure increases as our capabilities grow. Today, we are able to regularly strike targets in Russia within a radius of 1,000 km from the border. This range is steadily increasing: the Unmanned Systems Forces are scaling up successful experiences," he added.
Fedorenko stated that Ukraine and our international partners are preparing new "surprises" for the enemy. He recalled that Ukraine is ramping up production of its cruise missile "Flamingo," while in the US, the Pentagon has approved the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, with the final decision resting with the US President. In his opinion, the "geography of war" in the enemy’s rear will expand, and priority targets for strikes in the near future have already been determined.
"Attacks on Russian energy infrastructure will have far-reaching consequences: they are destroying the enemy’s economy for years to come. There will come a time when the Russian Federation will go bankrupt in both a literal and figurative sense. We are doing everything possible and impossible to bring this moment closer," he wrote.
