In 2019, Bakhteyeva received over 2 million UAH in income: 506 thousand UAH — salary from the Verkhovna Rada; 304 thousand UAH — reimbursement of expenses related to the execution of parliamentary duties.

Very modest income. Not lost? But there is another side to Bakhteyeva’s earnings, which embodies corruption and tender kickbacks in Ukrainian healthcare.

With the victory of the "Donetsk" in 2010, Tetyana Bakhteyeva entered the phase of her greatest power. The Health Committee, in which she presided for many years and fully controlled, was called the "shadow Ministry of Health" — even more powerful than the official one.

Thus, Bakhteyeva began to resolve issues related to tender procurement, while taking under her wing more than 20 companies, including PJSC "Ukrmedtekhnika", LLC "Medgarant", LLC "Medicalgroup-Ukraine", LLC "Goral", LLC "Brizanta", LLC "Ilatanmed", LLC "Medical Trading Company", "Radmir", LLC "Alliance Pharm" — many of which are connected with the family of the Fistals close to Bakhteyeva. The volume of tenders they won in 2011 amounted to 1.5 billion UAH, in 2012 1.8 billion. According to sources, the profit of the firms was 35-50% of the tender amount, and in some cases (purchase of ultrasound, X-ray, lung ventilation machines) reached 350-510%!

The sums of "kickbacks" were also corresponding. Tetyana Bakhteyeva’s wealth grew rapidly: only the watch on her wrist cost 95 thousand euros, and these were the most expensive "boilers" in the Verkhovna Rada. Her transport was also to match: a Lexus RX350 car (about 100 thousand dollars).

This is just a small part of the achievements of "Madame Tramadol," who, with the arrival of Yanukovich’s associate Yemets in the Ministry of Health, is expanding her corruption capabilities.

But according to the latest declaration, compared to other politicians, she does not seem very rich.

Also, Bakhteyeva was one of those who voted for the "dictatorial laws" on January 16, 2014.
