Animal abuser from Zaporizhzhya region faces 8 years in prison: girl is served with a notice of suspicion

A suspected cruelty to animals from Zaporizhzhya region, 24-year-old Khrystyna Stepanenko, was served a notice of suspicion of cruelty to animals and the creation and distribution of pornographic content.

According to the official website of the National Police, a resident of the village of Vilnokuryanivske filmed videos with scenes of bestiality and pornography for social media.

The defendant sold some of these videos, and published the rest to "attract" the audience.

One such video cost about two thousand hryvnias. It was also established that the girl was shooting videos "to order". The offender faces up to eight years in prison for such actions.

A search was conducted in the citizen’s house, and computer equipment, hard drives, mobile phones and bank cards were seized.

The offender is suspected of committing offences under Part 2 of Article 301 (import, manufacture, sale and distribution of pornographic items) and Part 3 of Article 299 (cruelty to animals) of the Criminal Code.

The girl was served a notice of suspicion by the Cybercrime Department in Zaporizhzhya region together with the Investigation Department of the regional police under the procedural supervision of the local Prosecutor’s Office.

Law enforcement officers are identifying other persons involved in the criminal activity.
