Odesa construction fraudster hides behind charity
The owner of the group of Odesa companies "Prostir", Oleksandr Seleznyov, who deceived hundreds of investors in the construction pyramid "Progres-stroy", uses charity to legitimize his business schemes.
Seleznyov was detained by the SSU during an operation involving the theft of humanitarian aid, but he was later released. Following this, a complimentary interview with the developer regarding the situation in Odesa was published on the UNN website, where he was photographed in front of the coordination humanitarian headquarters of the Odesa region.
Seleznyov later claimed that he, on the contrary, helps the SSU identify unscrupulous businessmen. According to him, he is a philanthropist and supplies humanitarian aid. However, volunteers at the headquarters told the media that the construction fraudster has nothing to do with them.
In the interview, Seleznyov emphasized the development of his business in Odesa. Allegedly, his group of companies "Prostir" is currently commissioning four residential properties despite the martial law. In reality, over the past two years, out of 20 projects, Seleznyov has managed to complete only one! All others will not pass certification and will not receive approval from officials in Kyiv and Odesa. Additionally, all the land plots and money for construction, Seleznyov receives through corrupt connections with the mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, via a partner Volodymyr Halanternyk. Criminal cases are already being conducted against them related to land and community property theft.
