NOC in the "reliable" hands of the Regionals

NOC in the "reliable" hands of the Regionals
NOC in the "reliable" hands of the Regionals

Everything is like in the bad old days — «they were fooled like kittens». It seems that Shufrych and Surkis were just serving as lightning rods.

And while society was rightly outraged by their names on the list, the newly elected president Vadym Guttsait brought a truly «golden» team to the NOC, 80% of whom have nothing to do with sports. Unless you consider corruption, the fight for a place in the OPFL list, or racketeering in the ’90s as sports.

Of course, sports are not relevant right now, but is it the right time to drag all the disgraced and discredited people into leadership positions?! If the OPFL party is banned, then why are its former members still allowed to stick their noses into power, be it political or sports?!

Meet:

  • Valeriy Borzov – member of the SDPU(o) 2001-2006, removed from the position of president of the Athletics Federation in 2012 due to corruption
  • Serhiy Bubka – member of the Party of Regions (2002-2005), left the party after being elected NOC president
  • Andriy Vinhranovskyi – member of OPFL, wife Yuliya Lyovochkina

  • Oleksandr Hereha – People’s Deputy from the Party of Regions (2012-2014), voted for the dictatorial laws on January 16, 2014
  • Iryna Deryuhina – accused by FIG of bribery, pressure on judges, influencing the final results of competitions, and other violations
  • Oleksandr Zats – member of the Party of Regions (2006-2014), strongly personally connected with Borys Kolesnikov, business partner of Borys
  • Roman Mulyk – member of the Party of Regions (2010-2014)
  • Andriy Melnyk – suspected of involvement in abduction, torture, and extortion of 200 million dollars from the former CEO of PJSC «Naftogazvydobuvannya», now People’s Deputy Semynskyi
  • Oleksandr Mendus – former member of the Party of Regions
  • Myroslav Karabin – former member of the Party of Regions

  • Mykhailo Koshlyak – since 2020, a deputy of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council from the OPFL

  • Ihor Lysov – member of the Party of Regions (2007-2014), notorious Kyiv developer
  • Serhiy Lahur – co-owner of the oil refinery complex Halychyna in Lviv region with ex-party member, and, after the hit-and-run murder, fugitive from the country Petro Dyminskyi
  • Viktor Remskyi – former «law enforcement officer», involved in falsification and coercion of «voluntary confessions» from the figures in the «Pavlichenko case»
  • Oleksandr Symonenko – OPFL member
  • Viktor Khrystoyev – former member of the Party of Regions
  • Oleksandr Udovychenko – former member of the Party of Regions
  • Nina Umanets — after 2014 boasted a photo with Putin
