Fraudulent crypto-laundry of the doctor of corruption sciences Mykola Udyanskyi. Part 1

Recently, Western media wrote that Forbes magazine removed Kharkiv cryptocurrency miner Mykola Udyanskyi from the list of millionaires due to business problems. One of the main questions that the famous YouTube blogger Ramina asked Udyanskyi during an interview was: "Why do so many people call you a fraudster?" The scientific community accused Udyansky of buying a 2019 dissertation on anti-corruption law. Prize winnings, numerous criminal cases, connections to Russia, money laundering and legalization of corrupt assets were paid for.

Love for purchased regalia, fame and the good life is not a sin. But our hero had two trials for fraud and repeatedly found himself at the center of scandals due to troubles with cryptocurrency machinations. Today, Mykola Udyanskyi likes to act as an infobusinessman, give forecasts for the bitcoin rate and recommend everyone to move to Dubai. Perhaps the time has come to lift the curtain of truth about Mykola Udyanskyi.

Even after the start of a full-scale invasion, when thousands of defenders are sacrificing their own lives to protect Ukraine and Nikolai’s native Kharkov for the second year, he finds the strength to show off his biceps from luxury resorts and dress up as a cowboy while traveling through the southern states.

Judging by the photo, Mr. Udyanskyi has a lot in common, except for his name and love for Thailand, with the notorious deputy from the Servant of the People Mykola Tyshchenko. You can’t forbid living beautifully. Although Tishchenko was banned after a scandalous visit to Thailand.

Two years ago, he was included in the Ukrainian Forbes rating as one of the hundred richest businessmen in the country. And today he is already on the list of businessmen with problematic businesses. What happened?

Udyanskyi’s crypto business - why don’t clients trust them?

The official story of his dizzying career looks quite attractive. Udyanskyi was one of the first cryptocurrency investors in the CIS, and today he is the founder of the Ehold holding, about which there is no information at all, the Ukrainian IT company Prof-IT, whose head office is located in the United Arab Emirates, and the Bitcoin Ultimatum cryptocurrency.

Of interest are Prof-IT and the Bitcoin Ultimatum cryptocurrency itself - there is more information about them. In 2021, Prof-IT and the international company Yoola developed the WeWay blockchain platform, which will allow bloggers and fans to effectively interact with each other. The founder of Yoola is Fuad Fatullaev, a Russian citizen who has already managed to tell how, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he took the team from Russia to Dubai due to sanctions. Perhaps this is why Udyanskyi is now publicly disowning WeWay and assuring that he has left it. However, the WeWay token remaining on QMall makes up 18% of the total capital, according to QMall itself.

Now let’s move on to the Bitcoin Ultimatum cryptocurrency. The project itself has been operating for quite a long time. In particular, its domain was registered on June 17, 2019. According to the Internet Archive, the project was already operational on March 24, 2020. That is, the site is at least 3 years old, and possibly more. But during this time, the cryptocurrency not only has not proven itself in any way, but has not even been able to fix the basics - a non-existent site team, no licensing or regulator. The project is, of course, decentralized and should be independent, but there are a number of companies that evaluate and regulate the activities of such sites to guarantee investors honesty. Udyansky’s company does not have this at all. As a result, we have a company registered in China, whose activities are not confirmed in any way, no reviews, no evidence of real work, and generally nothing that can confirm the reality of the offer.

At the same time, the reviews that are found, and there are few of them, indicate that the project is unreliable. A similar story is with another project that Udyanskyi is proud of - the cryptocurrency exchange Coinsbit .

As users write, the exchange is the subject of serious complaints from those who rashly decided to entrust their capital to it. Slow withdrawal and constant "failure" of orders always for some reason in favor of the exchange, according to the authors of the complaints, indicates that the exchange operates without the proper liquidity reserve. In this case, the payment is made at the expense of investments of other participants: the same as in the pyramid scheme MMSIS or MMM.

But what is more interesting about this exchange is that he created it together with his partner Bogdan Prilepa, like many other “projects”. But it was already registered in the Estonian city of Tallinn as a European company. According to the partners’ plan, this was supposed to increase trust in the financial pyramid. At the same time, the founder’s legal address was not in Europe at all: Global Gateway 8, Rue de la Perle Providence, Mahe, Seychelles. This address appears in several Panama Papers investigations, including those on Ukrainian figures from the entourage of Donetsk criminal authorities.

Cryptocurrency exchange "not for everyone" - how are criminal authorities connected with Mykola Udyanskyi’s IT business?

So when users write bad customer reviews about Udyanskyi’s products, they may simply not realize that these projects are not for them.

This is confirmed by the following: Mykola Udyanskyi acquired the LocalTrade exchange in September 2020 after selling the Coinsbit exchange in November 2019. There are suspicions that the sale of the latter itself was fictitious, because there is information where a Kharkiv manager appears as the manager of the Coinsbit company as of today, and the company itself simply invested all its money in another Chinese crypto company.

Although the original plan was to transfer LocalTrade under the jurisdiction of Montenegro and re-profile it into futures and over-the-counter (OTC) agreements.

Agree, it is strange that a businessman of such level needed the jurisdiction of Montenegro. But this is only at first glance. Remember, above we mentioned an indirect connection with criminal circles from the East of Ukraine. And here it appeared again.

The fact is that Udyanskyi has real estate in Montenegro. And this in itself, of course, is not a crime. But it is interesting how exactly this real estate became known. And it happened in 2019. The businessman was planning to transfer his crypto exchange to the jurisdiction of Montenegro. The fact is that a few months before that, on January 16, 2019, an attack was made on the head of the Eastern Region OCR, Lohvinenko Oleksiy, with an attempt on his life. A month later, Leonid Mitrov (a representative of the criminal circles of Kharkiv) was put on the international wanted list. And in June 2019, he was found. He was in Montenegro, where he lived in real estate owned by Udyanskyi. The court in Montenegro then chose a preventive measure for Mitrov. And law enforcement agencies began preparing documents for Mitrov’s extradition to Ukraine. Approximately in December 2019, Mitrov was extradited to Ukraine. It was at this time that Udyanskyi, who actually lived with Mitrov in Montenegro, tried to transfer the exchange to the jurisdiction of Montenegro in order to be able to withdraw "legal money." But after Mitrov’s extradition, such a need disappeared. So the exchange was "taken out of the game" until better times.

Common Affairs of a Socially Responsible Businessman and the Donetsk Mafia

There is another company that is still openly owned by Udyanskyi and is associated with cryptocurrency. This is the company "Edinarcoin". But the head of this enterprise is a rather extraordinary CEO-manager from the IT sector - Poltavskyi Yuriy. Judging by the email address, Udyanskyi has known him since his first job in the early 2000s at the Olivin trading house.

Poltavskyi, as one of the Kharkiv public activists notes , has a rich criminal biography, which, perhaps, provides the necessary levers of influence on him. He already had three convictions, of which, apparently, two are unexpunged. For the third conviction (2011), Poltavskyi was forced to report for a long time to the Kholodnohorsk district police department, where he is well known.

He also added that in January 2018, another criminal case was opened against Yuriy Poltavskyi under Part 2 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Intentional minor bodily injury"). Due to Poltavsky’s repeated failure to appear in court, he was put on the wanted list. But then it turned out that Poltavsky had a very long-standing close working relationship not only with crypto guru Udyansky, but also with the aforementioned Leonid Mitrov, and with another odious representative of the criminal world - Volodymyr Manukyan.

Manukyan is known for being the right hand of Armen Sarkisyan, the main supplier of titushki to the Maidan in 2014, and also a member of Yuriy Yenakievsky’s circle until 2014. After 2014, Manukyan moved to Kharkiv to expand the activities of his organized crime group there. Sarkisyan is in France and Monaco, while Manukyan "handles business on the spot."

And given this, it seems logical that when Udyanskyi asked Mitrov to "resolve the issue" with a competitor in France, Sarkisyan’s people quickly organized it and an attack was carried out on the competitor of the "successful businessman", which was duly recorded by the French police. But so far no one has been held accountable for this, because the "white money" that criminal authorities bring to Europe through Udyansky’s crypto exchanges helps resolve many issues.

How Udyanskyi’s partners shape public opinion: media, sports, etc.

One can talk about these friends of the businessman separately for a long time, but it is worth noting that they are united not only by "business", but also by love for media and boxing. Therefore, in conclusion, just two small examples of how versatile the former Forbes figure Mykola Udyanskyi is.

And the cherry on the cake is his love for sports. Manukyan is the head of the Yenakiyevo branch of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation. It was from such clubs that boxers were sent to Maidan in 2014 as titushki . But the passion for boxing is now gaining new momentum. And this is probably why, when Udyanskyi, then Vice President of the Boxing Federation, created one of his latest projects, the QMALL crypto exchange, instead of the digital solutions announced for the state, a banal sports betting shop was created. Of course, officially it sounds better: “The goal of the updated Ready to Fight is to find and support talented boxers, provide them with the opportunity to earn money for themselves and develop their own careers in amateur and professional sports.” But in fact, betting shops are added to crypto scams.

Therefore, taking all this into account, it becomes clear that Udyanskyi’s criminal crypto laundromat simply had no chance of remaining among the lists of successful businesses.

Considering the topic of Mr. Udyanskyi’s dissertation “Administrative and legal foundations for the interaction of law enforcement agencies in the field of combating corruption,” he will still need knowledge of the law.

So, from the biography of Udyanskyi, one can write a whole dissertation, but a real one. Ahead are the next issues of the investigation of the corruption schemes of the cryptocurrency miner Udyansky, details of obtaining the status of Honorary Consul of Romania in Kharkiv, as a screen for obtaining Romanian citizenship, connections with the aggressor country Russia and many other impressive stories.
