The Russian Federation has launched a disinformation campaign against Syrsky: they want to impose the image of a Russian citizen
The Russians are trying to impose an image of a "Soviet and Russian" man on the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation .
“To do this, propagandists are actively looking for his relatives in Russia, “family friends,” from whom they take comments and distribute them in the information space with the appropriate context,” the press writes.
The goal of the campaign is to discredit the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and reduce confidence in him.
At the same time, it is important to remember:
- Syrsky was for a long time part of the team of former Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny;
- commanded successful operations, including the liberation of Kyiv and Kharkov regions.
“It would be impossible without high-quality personnel, but a lot depends on the command. Therefore, Syrsky showed that he knows how to achieve results in the war against Russia,” the press service adds.
- Now the commander-in-chief’s team consists of young commanders who have been promoted;
- supporting the Russian campaign is playing along with enemy disinformation.
