The Russians managed to destroy key crossings in the area of Huliaipole - AFU

This — is a key element of preparation for a large-scale offensive. 

During October, Russian military forces occupied 267 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory, with the largest area — in the Novopavlivka-Huliaipole sector. The commander of the UAV battalion of the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade, Vladyslav Dotsenko, stated during a telethon that a threatening situation has been observed in the Huliaipole direction in the Zaporizhzhya region for several weeks — Russians are attempting to destroy Ukrainian logistical routes, which is a key element of preparation for a large-scale offensive.

For this purpose, over the past two to three weeks, Russians have been systematically carrying out combined missile and drone attacks on crossings over the Vovcha River. Critically important crossings in the areas of Pokrovske, Kolomiitsi, and Dobropasove have already been destroyed, resulting in disruptions to operational logistics in this sector.

Additionally, Russians are actively using "waiting drones" here. By deploying them on main logistical routes, they are creating a system of reconnaissance and strikes on these routes. 

As a result, the defence system of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the corresponding sector currently resembles "certain pockets of resistance," the military officer summarized: "Our primary focus is on the reconnaissance system. We conduct reconnaissance with copters, we conduct reconnaissance with wings, trying to achieve maximum depth into the enemy’s rear to detect them in advance."
