Defense Express: Ukraine began shooting down UAVs with Vampire laser anti-drone systems
The Ukrainian military may have started using Vampire anti-drone systems against Russian drones.
This was reported by Defense Express.
According to analysts, with the help of Vampire, in particular, the Shahed attack was repulsed on the night of February 11. Then the press service of the Ukrainian Navy showed a video of the combat work of its air defense units. It is in these videos that the Vampire is likely to be shown working.
At the beginning, you can see that the anti-aircraft gunners are taking aim at the enemy Shahed, but using an unknown optical-electronic station for this. Then the drone hited by a rocket, after which the Shahed breaks into a dive and falls.
It is these frames that suggest that the video shows the first publicly available footage of the combat operation of Vampire rocket launchers firing APKWS guided missiles.
