Limited fit men must undergo a repeat medical examination within 9 months

Limitedly fit men will have to undergo a second medical examination within 9 months - changes in the draft law "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Ensuring the Rights of Servicemen and Police Officers to Social Protection" adopted today.

Thus, for the second reading, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security took into account an amendment authored by the Committee’s Chairman Oleksandr Zavitnevych, Fedir Venislavskyi and others, which provides for "establishing that citizens of Ukraine who were declared partially fit for military service before the entry into force of this Law shall be subject to a second medical examination within nine months from the date of entry into force of this Law to determine their fitness for military service".

During the voting in the plenary hall, this amendment was not confirmed, so it must be taken into account in the final text, which will be signed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada.
